What the hell is happening?

You, the citizens, are taking the greatest hit! You've got the most to lose! You're dealing with the most serious consequences!So why the hell is nothing being done to help with this problem?

Every damn citizen, whether you like it or not, is affected by this wildfire mess! And ALL of us DESERVE so much BETTER!

The relentless surge of wildfires, be it the forgotten fires in the plains or the high-profile ones like the Camp Fire in California or Lahaina, Hawaii wildfire, calls for an immediate call to action for change and innovative solutions beyond the traditional methods. Those bearing the brunt of these disasters, losing everything and facing the most significant risks, deserve a future that goes beyond the current predicament.

A look at the past decade's fire incidents reveals a troubling truth: not much has changed! The ongoing crisis is a direct result of outdated firefighting strategies, including both tactics and technology. Coupled with a stagnant fire science educational system, this aligns too well with Einstein's definition of insanity. Embracing the status quo, whether it's the resigned "it is what it is" mentality or the popular phrase "the new normal," is no longer acceptable.

For too long, we've been fed the notion that we should passively accept phrases like "it is what it is" or unquestioningly embrace the so-called "new normal," laying blame on climate change. This communication evokes a feeling of helplessness, as if all conceivable actions have been exhausted. Following this path only fosters complacency and prolongs the existing situation.  These terms are absolute garbage and should NOT be accepted! If you're fed up with the same old bullshit, today is the day to reclaim your empowerment!

Fire industry leadership and manufacturers are caught in a vicious loop, serving only their vested interests and supporting profits over progress. No substantial changes have occurred! They continue doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. INSANITY!

The gravity of the situation demands an immediate departure from traditional approaches and a strong commitment to reshaping how our communities approach prevention, response, suppression, and beyond. A deeper understanding of technology supported by education, grounded in scientific advancements rather than tradition, is imperative. With stakes higher than ever, adhering to the unchanged playbook of the fire industry's leadership and manufacturers is inadequate. The time has come to empower individuals, communities, and extend a supportive hand to firefighters – now!
